The JOHNNY NO LAND BAND provides ultimate fun with Oldies but Goodies and will lead you down “Memory Lane.” The musicians in the band love entertaining and making people smile. They will make you laugh and relive the most romantic times of your past. It’s all here including Sam Cook, the Beatles, Elvis, the Classic Five, and Joe Cocker. You name it, the band plays it, as well as originals. Let's ROCK AROUND THE CLOCK together. Performances include the Walla Walla Onion Festival, The Green Valley Music Festival, the annual Walla Walla Corn Roast, the Downtown Concert Series, and other local festivals and venues. As a musician he writes, sings, composes, plays and performs a number of popular styles of music. He is a skilled guitarist, blues harmonica player, and extremely talented vocalist. He is definitely an entertainer whose musical abilities are delightfully accompanied by his unique personality and sense of humor, as well as a genuine love for people. SAX, VOCALS, RHYTHM GUITAR--Rich “FATZ” Howes. Rich has played in many bands over the years. His favorite styles are classic rock and blues. He has been in such bands as Steve and the Good Times, Rock and Roll Magic and spent a long time with The Great Pretenders who in 1995 put out a double live CD. Rich's main instrument is the saxophone and he wails on it in a style all his own. He is a very aggressive vocalist with a style that you can't help but appreciate. He is also a very visual entertainer. If you love saxophone, this is one guy you do not want to miss. BASS--Marquelle “SMOOTH” Fowler & Jonathan “TURKEY JOE”. Our bass position is shared between these two young excellent players. They both have extraordinary talent, but different styles. You must see to appreciate! PERCUSSION--”MELODY MIKE” Hammond. Mike is well versed in several styles of music including country, bluegrass, classic rock, and blues.
